How to Create an Email Account in cPanel
Create your mailbox, then check that sending and receiving work.

BEFORE YOU START
Prepare your login
- Sign in to cPanel.
- Under Email, open Email Accounts.

CREATE YOUR MAILBOX
Choose your email address
- Click Create and choose your domain.
- Enter a username, such as sales.
- Set a strong password and a storage quota.
- Click Create to save.

AFTER CREATION
Check your new mailbox
- Open Check Email / Webmail.
- Send a test email and check that you can receive a reply.
- For a mail app, open Connect Devices for its settings.
Check Your Mailbox Storage Limit
Creating a mailbox does not increase your hosting storage. Choose a quota within your plan’s limits and keep your password secure.
Webmail vs Email App
Use either option to access the same mailbox.
Webmail
- Read and send email in your browser.
- Open it from cPanel’s Email Accounts.
- No mail-app setup is needed.
Email App
- Use Outlook, Apple Mail or another mail app.
- Copy the server settings from Connect Devices.
- Use your full email address and mailbox password.
